Terms of Use
Effective 2026-10-08. Draft pending legal review.
1. Who we are
DrugBug is provided by Volare Media LLC ("we", "us"). Contact: VolareMediaLLC@gmail.com. By using DrugBug you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use DrugBug.
2. Educational use only
DrugBug is an educational study tool for students and clinicians in training. It is not medical advice, is not a medical device, and is not intended for diagnosing, treating, or making decisions about any real patient.
Dose calculators, the pediatric reference, the med-list decoder, interaction notes, megacode cases and every other tool are practice exercises. Do not rely on them for patient care. Always follow your agency protocols, medical direction, facility policy, current drug references, and the judgment of a licensed clinician.
Drug information changes. Content may be incomplete, out of date or contain errors, even after clinical review. Some content is drafted with the help of AI and is labeled with its review status.
3. Clinical use prohibited
DrugBug is designed only for education, exam preparation and simulated clinical scenarios.
DrugBug must not be used as a clinical decision-support system, a medication administration reference, a drug dosing authority, or a substitute for independently verified clinical information. Do not use DrugBug for actual patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, medication administration or any other clinical decision.
Dose Cards, Calc Lab, Pediatric dosing practice, Megacode, any Apple Watch app or widgets, and every other calculation feature are simulations for fictional practice patients. They are not for real human patients. Do not enter real patient information into them. Software and content can contain errors; independently verify every number against the current FDA label, your protocols and medical direction.
You acknowledge that relying on DrugBug during actual patient care may result in medication errors, injury or death. Volare Media LLC does not authorize or endorse any use of DrugBug in patient care.
4. Who may use DrugBug
DrugBug is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to use it. DrugBug is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
5. Your account and conduct
You agree not to: enter patient information or any protected health information; post offensive, harassing or misleading display names or content; copy or resell DrugBug content; attempt to access other people's data; or interfere with the app.
We may remove display names, classes or content, and may suspend access, if these Terms are broken.
6. Classes and instructors
Classes and the public leaderboard are currently turned off. If they return: Instructors who create a class are responsible for how they use learner scores and for following their school's policies, including FERPA where it applies. Learners should use a first name or nickname. Learners can leave a class at any time, which deletes their class results.
7. Protocols
Agency, facility and school protocols belong to their owners. DrugBug adds an agency's protocols only with written permission, and shows them only as study material. By sending protocols you confirm you are authorized to share them or will help us get that permission.
8. Trademarks
NREMT, NCLEX, NCSBN, USMLE, FSMB, NBME, ARRT, IBSC, FP-C, BCEN, CFRN, AHA, ACLS, PALS and ISMP are trademarks of their owners. DrugBug uses these names only to describe the subjects it covers. Not affiliated with or endorsed by NREMT, NCSBN, FSMB, NBME, ARRT, IBSC, BCEN or AHA. Practice questions are original and are not official exam items.
9. Our content
DrugBug's text, questions, artwork and software are owned by Volare Media LLC or its licensors. You may use them for your own personal study.
10. Reporting errors
If you see an error, use "Report an error". Reports help us fix content but do not create any duty for us to respond within a set time.
11. No warranty
DrugBug is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Volare Media LLC and its members, employees, reviewers and contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss or harm arising from or related to: use of DrugBug in patient care or any other unauthorized clinical use; inaccurate, incomplete or outdated medication or clinical information; calculation errors in any simulation or calculator; software errors; service interruptions, outages or data loss; or our negligence, to the extent the law allows negligence to be limited.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for all claims relating to DrugBug is limited to the amount you paid us for DrugBug in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50 if you paid nothing.
Some laws do not allow certain limits or exclusions, for example for gross negligence, intentional misconduct or certain consumer rights. In those cases these limits apply only as far as the law allows.
13. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold harmless Volare Media LLC from claims arising from your misuse of DrugBug, including use of DrugBug for patient care or breaking these Terms.
14. Subscriptions and billing
DrugBug Free is free. Some features require a paid subscription: DrugBug Plus or DrugBug Pro, billed monthly or yearly. The price and billing period are shown before you buy.
Pro may include a free trial (for example 7 days) offered through the App Store to eligible new subscribers. The trial starts when you confirm with your Apple Account. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription converts to a paid subscription and your Apple Account is charged the price shown. Eligibility is decided by Apple; each Apple Account generally gets one free trial per subscription group.
Subscriptions bought in the iPhone app are billed and managed through your Apple Account and are subject to Apple's payment and subscription terms. Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, and your Apple Account is charged within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel in iPhone Settings, your name, Subscriptions.
Cancelling stops future renewals but does not normally refund the current billing period. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its policies and applicable law.
We may change subscription prices. Apple notifies subscribers of price increases as its rules require, and a new price applies only from your next renewal after notice. Plus and Pro are in one subscription group, so changing plans replaces your current plan.
School and agency codes give Pro for the period your organization paid for and can be ended by your organization or by us.
Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the iPhone app, alongside these Terms.
15. Accounts, deletion and your data
Accounts are optional. If you create one, keep your sign-in details secure and tell us if you think someone else used your account. You can delete everything DrugBug stores about you at any time from Your data (in the footer) or by emailing VolareMediaLLC@gmail.com. Deletion removes or de-identifies your personal information, subject to legal obligations and legitimate retention needs described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your data does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel that in your Apple Account.
How we collect, use, store and share information is described in the separate .
16. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, disputes arising from these Terms or the use of DrugBug shall be brought in the state or federal courts having jurisdiction in Brazos County, Texas.
17. Changes and effective date
These Terms are effective 2026-10-08. We may update them. When we make a material change, we will ask you to agree again in the app, and we keep a record of the version you accepted and when.
